Ricky Gervais's comedy pilot 'Derek' has been commissioned for a full series by Channel 4.

The controversial sitcom divided viewers as some believed the lead character mocked the disabled - a claim Gervais denies.

The series, about workers at a retirement home, will air in 2013.
